The Ford Focus Suspension Defect class action lawsuit is entitled Margie Daniel, et al. v. Ford Motor Company and is in the jurisdiction of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, Sacramento Division. The lawsuit revolves around claims that Ford knew about suspension defects in their Focus automobiles but denied to honor customer warranties and did not repair the problem. The years that are in question are the 2005-2011 Ford Focus vehicles. The class claims that these autos had a suspension defect that causesd their tires to wear out unevenly and prematurely. This led to the autos to drift dangerously on slick roads.
Class members in the lawsuit are defined as anyone who purchased (or leased) a Ford Focus between the years 2005 through 2011 in the state of California and who currently resides in the United States. The lawsuit goes on to claim the autos also made an “extremely rough ride” and “exceptionally loud noise”. So not only were the Focus cars a safety hazard but they was annoying to drive.
