If you have recently moved to a new location it is very important you take time out to update your new address with everyone you do Business with. This includes the United States Postal Service. Changing your address with the United States Postal Service might be the most important change of them all. Not only will you not get your mail but you run the risk that somebody else will get your mail.
A user will have two options when making a change of address. A person can make a Permanent change or a Temporary change. A Permanent change should be selected if you have no plans to move back to your old address. A Temporary change should be selected if you plan to move back to your old address within 12 months. The temporary change is more for warm weather birds who move down to Florida for the winter. Please note that the initial amount of temporary change is 6 months but up to 12 can be requested.
Also a valid credit card and a valid email address are required to complete the Online Change of Address process. If you do not have a valid email address go to Google and get a free one.
